Q. Vlady, this is a tough question, but who has had the best home run celebration so far in this World Baseball Classic?
A. That's easier. Tatis. I say Tatis, man. That athlete is epic. You know, see that in my team is good. I saw a couple last year but in the other team, but now he's in my team, so I gotta enjoy it now.
Q. From as much fun as you guys are having on the field, you guys are so locked in as soon as you leave this ballpark. It's not like you guys are out partying. You guys are getting your rest. Is that kind of the mentality in the clubhouse right now? that you guys are just incredibly focused and all the fun is supposed to just be on the field?
A. Yeah, you know, to us the job is not finished. We celebrate here, we do a lot of things fun, but when we go out, everybody rests. Everybody spends time with his family and tries to rest as much as we can to help the team win the next day.
Q. How difficult is it to prepare for a team like Korea in the way that you don't have as much information as you do with somebody like Venezuela? where you're used to facing them?
A. I think everybody is the same, we treat everybody the same. Like to me, I never faced Nicaragua, I never faced Israel, I never faced Netherlands, you know. But when we go out there, we just compete. We forget who's throwing or who's coming next. We focus try to do our job to help the team to win and when you think like that, something good happens like we playing that first game good and today we're gonna go out there and try to win. No matter what happened, we're gonna go out there and try to win.
